Blisscape Sofa Adds Modular Designs and New Comfort Features

Poltrona Frau expands its Blisscape sofa system with deeper seating, adjustable armrests, a 45-degree armchair, new chaise and pouf modules, and coordinating tables, enhancing comfort and flexibility in contemporary living spaces.

Poltrona Frau introduces an expanded edition of its Blisscape sofa system, designed by Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba, during Milan Design Week. The updated collection builds on the original design with enhanced ergonomics, additional modular elements and coordinating tables, offering greater flexibility for contemporary living spaces.

The latest version focuses on comfort and personalisation. The sofa seat is now 10 centimetres deeper, while a new armchair with a 45-degree tilt supports more relaxed seating positions. Taller armrests, which can incorporate an adjustable tilt mechanism, provide additional support and reinforce the sofa’s enveloping, cocoon-like appearance.

The expanded modular range includes a chaise terminal and deeper pouf options. The chaise accommodates up to two people and enables more open, asymmetrical arrangements. The deep pouf can function as independent seating opposite a linear sofa or integrate into a larger composition, creating additional possibilities for lounging and social interaction.

The armrests contribute to the collection’s distinctive aesthetic. Generously proportioned and upholstered in Pelle Frau leather, they combine a cushioned upper section with a rigid supporting structure. Their curved profile creates a sense of enclosure while maintaining the collection’s refined visual character.

New Blisscape tables further extend the system’s functionality. Available in round, square and rectangular formats, the tables can be positioned alongside seating, placed in front of sofas or integrated into modular arrangements. They can also be combined with other Poltrona Frau collections, expanding their application beyond the Blisscape system.

The table range includes rectangular sizes of 90 × 45 centimetres, 100 × 45 centimetres and 150 × 40 centimetres, a 100 × 100-centimetre square model and a round table measuring 120 centimetres in diameter. Heights are available at 32 or 38 centimetres. Materials include birch plywood and medium-density fibreboard, finished in Pelle Frau ColorSphere Impact Less leather, alongside marble tabletops with rounded edges and reinforced undersides.

The expanded Blisscape system aligns with Poltrona Frau’s 2026 True Over Time collection, which emphasises lasting design, authenticity and adaptability to changing lifestyles. Through its combination of modularity, tactile materials and functional surfaces, Blisscape offers a flexible lounge environment for relaxation, conversation and everyday activities.

The collection debuts on April 14 at Poltrona Frau’s flagship store at Via Manzoni 30 in Milan, before reaching selected stores worldwide and the brand’s e-commerce platforms in key European markets.
