Actor Akshaye Vinod Khanna has purchased a luxury apartment in Mumbai’s Malabar Hill for ₹33.26 crore, according to property registration documents reviewed by Square Yards. The transaction is registered in September 2026 and adds another high-value residential deal to Mumbai’s premium property market.

The apartment is located at 30 Little Gibbs on Malabar Hill Road. According to the registration documents, the property has a carpet area of 2,341.39 sq ft, along with 175.45 sq ft of balcony space. This takes the combined carpet and balcony area to 2,516.84 sq ft. The residence also comes with three parking spaces.

The transaction attracts a stamp duty of ₹1.99 crore, while registration charges amount to ₹30,000. Based on the purchase value and carpet area, the transaction works out to approximately ₹1.42 lakh per sq ft on a carpet-area basis.

Malabar Hill remains one of South Mumbai’s established luxury residential markets, with limited availability of large premium homes and proximity to key commercial and lifestyle destinations. The neighbourhood offers access to Marine Drive, Nariman Point, Fort and Colaba, while roads such as Nepean Sea Road, Walkeshwar Road and Pedder Road connect it with other parts of South Mumbai.

Property data cited by Square Yards places the locality’s average asking rate at around ₹85,200 per sq ft in September 2026, while registered transactions for the October 2025–September 2026 period average about ₹69,500 per sq ft. These locality-wide figures vary from individual luxury transactions depending on factors such as the building, floor, views, specifications and amenities.
