Aldar and Arada establish an AED15 billion strategic partnership covering a mixed-use community at Seih Sdeirah and three residential plots on Yas Island, marking Arada’s entry into Abu Dhabi.
Aldar Properties and Arada announce a strategic partnership involving development opportunities worth approximately AED15 billion ($4.08 billion) across Abu Dhabi. The collaboration includes a joint venture to develop a large-scale mixed-use community at Seih Sdeirah, located along the Abu Dhabi–Dubai border, alongside Arada’s acquisition of three residential development plots on Yas Island.
The partnership marks Arada’s first development presence in Abu Dhabi and combines Aldar’s established development platform and landbank in the emirate with Arada’s experience in large-scale community development. The two companies also plan to explore additional collaboration across sectors, asset classes and locations in the UAE.

At Seih Sdeirah, the joint venture plans to develop a mixed-use community across up to 1.5 million square metres of land. The development is planned around villas and townhouses, complemented by retail and recreational amenities. Under the partnership structure, Arada will lead development and construction management, while both companies will jointly oversee branding and sales of the community.
The second component of the partnership involves Yas Island, where Arada acquires three development plots from Aldar for residential projects. The plots, including two canal-facing sites, cover a combined area of more than 27,500 square metres and have an aggregate gross floor area of almost 130,000 square metres. The sites are intended to support the development of premium residential communities within the island’s established lifestyle and leisure environment.
Talal Al Dhiyebi, Group Chief Executive Officer, Aldar, says the opportunities at Yas Island and Seih Sdeirah establish a foundation for continued collaboration between the two developers. Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, Group Chief Executive Officer, Arada, describes the agreement as a significant step in the company's UAE expansion and says the partnership will support its entry into Abu Dhabi.
