Lemon Tree Hotels Expands Punjab Presence with New Moga Hotel

Lemon Tree Hotels opens Keys Lite by Lemon Tree Hotels in Moga, marking its entry into the city and taking its Punjab portfolio to four operational hotels, with nine more properties in the pipeline.

Lemon Tree Hotels has expanded its presence in Punjab with the opening of Keys Lite by Lemon Tree Hotels, Moga, marking the hospitality group’s entry into the city. The opening takes the company’s operational portfolio in Punjab to four hotels, with nine additional properties in the pipeline across the state. 

Located on GT Road, the new property is positioned to serve both business and leisure travellers, with access to Moga’s commercial areas, transit points and local attractions. The city’s agro-industrial base and movement of corporate travellers, transit guests and visiting diaspora are identified as key factors supporting demand for organised hospitality in the market.

The hotel operates under a franchise agreement and features 33 rooms and suites across multiple categories, including Superior Double Rooms, Deluxe Double Rooms, Deluxe Twin Rooms and Studio Suites. The property also offers dining and recreational facilities designed to cater to short and extended stays.

Its facilities include Keys Cafe, a multi-cuisine restaurant, along with 24-hour in-room dining and a fitness centre. The property’s location on GT Road also provides connectivity for travellers arriving by road and those visiting Moga for commercial or regional purposes.

The opening follows Lemon Tree Hotels’ earlier announcement of the Moga property in February 2025. At the time, the hotel was planned with 30 rooms and was expected to begin operations during FY2026. The final property now opens with 33 rooms and suites.

The company says the expansion reflects its focus on emerging Tier-3 markets, where growing commercial activity and travel demand are creating opportunities for branded hospitality operators. Moga’s position within Punjab’s agricultural and industrial ecosystem provides a base for business travel as well as highway transit.

With four hotels now operational in Punjab and nine more properties in the pipeline, Lemon Tree Hotels continues to expand its footprint across the state. The company’s wider development strategy includes entering regional markets where organised accommodation demand is increasing.

The opening of Keys Lite by Lemon Tree Hotels, Moga adds another midscale property to the group’s portfolio while strengthening its presence in Punjab’s developing hospitality markets.
