Hyatt opens its second branded property at The Red Sea destination in Saudi Arabia with Grand Hyatt The Red Sea. The 430-room resort features nine dining venues, five pools, a luxury spa and extensive event facilities.
Hyatt Hotels Corporation has opened Grand Hyatt The Red Sea on Shura Island in Saudi Arabia, expanding its hospitality presence in the Kingdom and strengthening the island’s position as a destination for luxury tourism, dining and large-scale events. The 430-room resort marks Hyatt’s second branded property at The Red Sea destination and its eighth hotel in Saudi Arabia.
The property features 430 rooms, suites and villas, with accommodation designed by Muza Lab around Shura Island’s Coral Bloom masterplan. The interiors draw inspiration from the colours, textures and organic forms of the Red Sea’s coral reefs, while private balconies and terraces offer views of the sea, lagoon or gardens. Selected accommodation categories also include private pools.

The resort’s architecture follows the Coral Bloom vision developed by Foster + Partners. Its signature canopy structures, made using recycled fishing nets, take inspiration from coral formations and the interplay of light and water, creating shaded outdoor spaces that connect the property with its natural surroundings.
Dining is a major part of the resort’s offering, with nine planned restaurants and social venues. Embers, which feature live-fire cooking and fresh seafood and Drift Pool Bar, are currently open. The remaining concepts include The Amalfi Club, Café Maude, Havana Social, Charcoal Tandoor Fire Grill and El Ta’koy, alongside Akira Back Korean BBQ and 2am: dessert bar by pastry chef Janice Wong.
Wellness and recreation facilities include five swimming pools, the 750-square-metre Ethereal Spa with 12 treatment rooms, and a 500-square-metre fitness centre. The resort also provides family-friendly activities and dedicated adults-only spaces.

Grand Hyatt The Red Sea is positioned as a venue for meetings, incentives, conferences and celebrations. Its event facilities include 2,412 square metres of function space, five meeting rooms, a junior ballroom and a 1,390-square-metre grand ballroom, the largest on Shura Island.
Located near Shura Marina, the resort also provides access to the island’s retail, dining and yachting facilities. The opening adds to Red Sea Global’s expanding hospitality portfolio and supports Saudi Arabia’s efforts to attract international leisure and business travellers as part of its tourism development strategy.
