Pride Hotels Plans 4,140 New Rooms, Targets 10,000 Keys by 2030

Pride Hotels plans to expand its portfolio by 4,140 rooms over the next 12–24 months, taking its combined operational and pipeline inventory to 7,341 keys, with a long-term target of 10,000 rooms by 2030.

Pride Hotels is accelerating its expansion across India, planning to add approximately 4,140 rooms over the next 12–24 months as it targets a combined portfolio and development pipeline of 7,341 keys. The hospitality group is also aiming to reach 10,000 rooms by 2030, supported by an estimated capital expenditure of ₹350–400 crore.

The planned expansion will strengthen the company’s presence across the mid-market, upper-mid-market and upscale hospitality segments. Pride Hotels intends to grow through a combination of owned properties, management contracts, leases and selective acquisitions, allowing it to increase its footprint across business and leisure destinations.

The group currently operates 3,204 rooms across 40 hotels, according to recent reporting. The proposed additions will take its combined operational inventory and pipeline to 7,341 rooms across approximately 90 properties. The expansion reflects the company’s strategy to build scale while tapping demand from corporate travellers, domestic tourists, families and the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) segment.

Pride Hotels operates multiple brands, including Pride Plaza, Pride Premier, Pride Elite and Biznotel. The company is focusing on mid-market and upscale accommodation rather than competing directly in the luxury segment. Its Biznotel properties cater primarily to business travellers, while its other brands serve corporate, leisure and event-related demand.

The group’s expansion also includes projects in emerging business and tourism destinations. Among the developments in its pipeline is a 163-room addition in Nagpur, expected to open in September 2027. The company is also preparing to introduce two properties in suburban Mumbai within approximately a year.

Management contracts are expected to remain an important part of the growth strategy, enabling Pride Hotels to expand without bearing the entire cost of developing and owning each property. The company also plans to invest in existing assets to improve facilities and strengthen its operating performance.

With its 10,000-key ambition by 2030, Pride Hotels is positioning itself to capture opportunities arising from India's expanding domestic travel market and rising demand for organised accommodation across business, leisure and pilgrimage destinations.
