IHG Hotels & Resorts partners with AR Infra Consultancy to develop a 250-room Crowne Plaza hotel near Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, with an opening planned for early 2031.
IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with AR Infra Consultancy to develop Crowne Plaza Hyderabad Shamshabad Airport Road, marking the Crowne Plaza brand’s entry into Hyderabad. The 250-room hotel is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2031, strengthening IHG’s premium hospitality portfolio in India.
The property will be located near Rajiv Gandhi International Airport and the World Trade Centre in Shamshabad. Its location is expected to support demand from business travellers, airport transit passengers, meetings and events, long-stay guests, and companies operating in the surrounding industrial and infrastructure corridors.

Shamshabad is emerging as a commercial growth destination, supported by airport activity and developments such as the World Trade Centre and the expanding Aeronautical Park. Rajiv Gandhi International Airport handled approximately 31 million passengers in 2025, highlighting the scale of travel activity in the region.
The hotel will feature 250 rooms, including 37 suites, alongside five food and beverage outlets. These will comprise an all-day dining restaurant with 187 seats, a 65-seat bar, a 65-seat speciality restaurant, a 65-seat pool bar and a 55-seat lobby lounge.
For business events and conferences, the property will offer 1,170 square metres of meeting space across five venues, including an 800-square-metre ballroom. Additional amenities will include a club lounge, swimming pool, fitness centre, spa and parking facilities.
Sudeep Jain, Managing Director for South West Asia at IHG Hotels & Resorts, says the airport’s proximity and expanding commercial infrastructure make Shamshabad a suitable location for the Crowne Plaza brand. He adds that the signing supports IHG’s strategy to expand its premium hotel portfolio across India.

For AR Infra Consultancy, the project represents its first venture into the hospitality sector. P. Revanth Reddy of AR Infra Consultancy says the company intends to build on its real estate and infrastructure experience across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, with IHG contributing its international hospitality expertise.
The agreement adds to IHG’s expansion in India, where the company is growing its portfolio across luxury, premium and midscale segments. The Hyderabad project is positioned to serve the city’s business travel and meetings market while adding branded accommodation capacity near a major international airport.
