Sterling Regalia Agra Opens Near the Taj Mahal

Sterling Holiday Resorts opens Sterling Regalia Agra, a 36-key hotel located 1.4 km from the Taj Mahal, featuring dining, events and leisure facilities while strengthening its presence in the Golden Triangle.

Sterling Holiday Resorts Limited announces the opening of Sterling Regalia Agra, expanding its hospitality presence in one of India’s prominent tourism destinations and strengthening its position along the Delhi–Agra–Jaipur Golden Triangle travel circuit. Located just 1.4 km from the Taj Mahal, the new property combines convenient access to Agra’s iconic monument with facilities designed for leisure and business travellers.

The 36-key hotel features contemporary rooms, a multi-cuisine restaurant, event spaces and leisure facilities catering to couples, families, business travellers and small groups. One of its key features is a fourth-floor swimming pool offering views of the Taj Mahal, providing guests with an alternative perspective of the city’s most recognised landmark.

The property also includes a top-floor deck designed for private celebrations and special occasions. At the lobby level, Regalia Spices, a 40-cover restaurant, presents a menu inspired by Awadhi, Mughlai and Braj cuisines alongside international favourites. The restaurant offers buffet and à la carte dining options, bringing regional culinary influences into the hotel experience.

According to Vikram Lalvani, Managing Director and CEO, Sterling Holiday Resorts, the opening forms part of the company’s Destination Architect strategy, which focuses on developing hospitality experiences around the distinctive characteristics of individual destinations. He says the Agra property is intended to encourage visitors to spend more time exploring the city beyond the Taj Mahal and connect it with wider travel itineraries across the Golden Triangle.

The property is developed in partnership with the owners of Taj Regalia, Brijesh Yadav and Rekha Yadav. The owners state that the vision is to create a hospitality address that benefits from its proximity to the Taj Mahal while establishing an identity of its own. Sterling contributes its hospitality expertise and destination-focused approach to the property.
